On an annual basis, the BC Lung Association organizes a series of patient education forums to connect lung patients and their families with leading experts in the respiratory care field. Topics ranged from insights on best practices in chronic lung disease management and proper use of medications to the latest discoveries in lung research.
Spring 2009 - Living Well with COPD
In early February 2009, COPD researchers and clinicians gathered in Vancouver to share their expert knowledge on COPD. The conference consisted of two full days of presentations and a public forum entitled Living Well with COPD
Public forum speakers included two world-renowned respiratory health experts Dr. Bart Celli and Dr. Dennis O’Donnell both of whom stayed to take questions from audience members. In addition, several COPD patients were invited to share their tips for living well with COPD.
