Bicycle Trek for Life and Breath
Thank You Trekkers!
The BC Lung Association’s 27th Annual Bicycle Trek for Life and Breath united some 250 cycling enthusiasts and event volunteers from across British Columbia this past weekend, September 10 and 11th, to raise funds for vital lung health research, programs and clean air initiatives.
We would like to send out an enormous thank you to each and every one of our Trekkers for taking part and putting their legs and lungs to the test for the BC Lung Association!
We could not have asked for better weather – or a better group of cyclists!
We look forward to catching up with you you at our Trek Wrap party on November 19th, 2011 – and, of course, next year at Trek 2012!
Fundraising Deadline
Lead organizer Marissa McFadyen confirms Trekkers have raised more than$170,000 to date and she expects this year’s event to inch closer to $200,000 by the time fundraising is complete.
Post-event fundraising will continue until the October 3, 2011 deadline.
