Difficulty breathing? Get healthy. Get tested.

Together with BC Health Authority partners, the BC Lung Association is calling upon all smokers and ex-smokers over the age of 40, and experiencing difficulty breathing, to get a simple breathing test called Spirometry. Read the news release.

What kind of lung test is spirometry?

Spirometry is the medical word for a simple breathing test that can help in the diagnosis of different lung diseases. It's a painless test that usually takes less than 10 minutes.

FREE lung test (spirometry) events 2011

Meet with local lung health professionals and get a free breathing test (Spirometry) to see how their lungs are working. Smokers or ex-smokers over 40, are encouraged to take the Canadian Lung Health Test,  and see their doctor and ask for a Spirometry test.

Spirometry is a breathing test used to diagnose COPD. It usually takes less than 10 minutes. The earlier COPD is detected, the more you can do to improve it
